Cost of the drawing fees for submission into the drawing for the elk is $30.00. Application fees are $30 for each drawing. Cash or personal checks not accepted. Money orders, bank cashier checks and credit/debit cards only. Applying for:

Due to a limited number of elk licenses available, the following terms apply: Bennett/Jackson County Cow Elk: These licenses will be for cow only and are valid only on Tribal lands on Bennett and Jackson counties. The cost of these licenses is $200.00.
Applicants who are successful and claim their licenses can choose between archery or firearms. When they do so, the licenses cannot be changed and applicants must abide to the corresponding seasons (archery licensees cannot use firearms during firearms season).
Tribal Member Reservation-Wide (Free Roaming) Bull Elk only. Bull Elk are also valid on Bennett and Jackson county Tribal lands. The cost of these licenses is $300.00
*Bull Elk drawings for Firearms and Archery will be held separately and cannot be changed once drawn.*
*If applied for Firearms Lottery before, and change to Archery Lottery, the preference points will be lost.*
• Drawing entries will close at 11:59 PM on July 6, 2021.
• Drawing will be held July 7, 2021. Successful applicants will be sent an email July 7, 2021.
After the drawing held on July 7, 2021, successful applicants will have until July 14, 2021 to claim their license. Applicants who entered round 1 do not need to re-apply for the second round. They will be entered automatically.
Successful applicants can purchase their license by sending their payment via mail to the OSPRA office in Kyle or the online purchase/harvesting website: https://ospra.nagfa.net/online/
Unsuccessful applicants will receive a preference point to increase their odds of success in next year’s drawings. Applications can be printed out to mail payment in for the lottery, and can also apply online by going to: http://www.oglalasiouxparksandrec.net/
