Title: Executive Director
Position Summary:
The Executive Director serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Oglala Sioux Parks and Recreation Authority (OSPRA) and is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, strategic direction, fiscal management, and operation of OSPRA in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors. The Executive Director implements Board policy, directs all programs, and represents OSPRA with Tribal, federal, state and local partners.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Masters degree in Natural Resource, Wildlife Management, Conservation, Public Administration, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related field. Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible management experience. Minimum ten (10) years of supervisory and executive leadership experience directing personnel, budgets, and operations. Minimum ten (10) years of experience in natural resources, conservation, parks and recreation, wildlife management, or closely related field. Demonstrated experience managing complex multi-agency projects. Knowledge of fiscal management, grant writing, and fundraising. Understanding of Lakota culture, Tribal sovereignty, and conservation principles. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening.
